Derrick Bond is an old friend of Will Gardner and the head of his own successful law firm, Bond & Associates.
In the second season, Bond tries to oust Diane from the firm with Will's help. They finally switch the situation to their advantage, and in the episode The Great Firewall the equity partners force Bond out.
