Holly Westfall is a ballistic expert, head of the PGT Ballistics.

When Kurt McVeigh wanted to retire, he made an agreement with Holly, who was one of his first students, to sell her his business. Kurt asked Diane Lockhart to review the contracts and she realized that PGT Ballistics planned to buy Kurt’s firm for 60% of its value. Diane arranged meeting with Holly, who insinuated the flirtatious nature of her relationship with Kurt and consequently made Diane to angrily refuse her offer.

At Peter Florrick’s corruption trial, AUSA Connor Fox called Holly as a witness to rebut Kurt’s testimony. She said that Kurt, although honest, may have oversell to court results of his ballistics investigation in order to help Diane to win the case. Lucca Quinn managed to neutralize Holly’s testimony by implying that Kurt oversold his results both to court and to Peter.

Holly witnessed in favor of Peter’s prosecutor one more time, when she made ballistic test herself and had evidence which, combined with Kurt’s new testimony with same results, could have hurt Peter. However, this wasn’t presented to the jury because Alicia Florrick and Lucca undercut Kurt’s new testimony by suggesting that his new results were only changed because he had an affair with Holly. Although Alicia helped her husband by this revelation, she betrayed Diane and humiliated her.
