Trivia[]

  • At the sports hearing, Plunkett insults Will in French, saying he's "a victim of our American education system" because Will cannot speak French.
  • The poem that Diane says, when Will asks her how her French is, is the first 4 verses of Dernière Soirée written by Arthur Rimbaud in 1870 and published in 1891. It is a rather sensual and erotic text, even if the first verses are softer than the rest of the poem. Elle était fort déshabillée Et de grands arbres indiscrets Aux vitres jetaient leur feuillée Malinement, tout près, tout près.
  • In the scene where Alicia goes to talk with a judge about getting Elsbeth Tascioni transferred to a holding cell downtown, we see the name tag of said judge. His name is Thomas Politi. The Danish and Norwegian word for police is 'Politi'
