Jennifer Lewis was a young woman from Chicago accused of murdering her ex-husband, Michael Lewis, in a mock carjacking.
Alicia Florrick took her case on a pro bono basis shortly after starting to work for Stern, Lockhart & Gardner. She was able to prove that Jennifer was likely innocent and that the brother of Michael's second wife, Cindy, was a much more plausible suspect. The police then reopened the case and State's Attorney Glenn Childs decided to drop the charges against Jennifer, allowing her to reunite with her 3-year-old daughter.[1]
