Kaya Blanke is a police officer of New York Police Department. She's best friends with Elsbeth Tascioni, who she conducts investigations with due to the Consent Decree. She's a huge fan of the reality TV show Lavish Ladies and it is implied in the third episode that she aims to be a detective, although it is revealed that Kaya is academically unqualified to be in the police force due to an administrative error and now has to go to college to be able to qualify for the position.
