Mandy Post is a journalist working for a national magazine.

She tried to write a story about Peter Florrick after he announced his candidacy for the place of the governor of Illinois. Eli Gold noticed Mandy's high interest in Alicia Florrick and sensed that Mandy is up for digging dirt. When Mandy told Eli that she has solid information of an affair, Eli worried that it is about Alicia and Will Gardner. Later it is revealed that the supposed affair was Peter's, with a campaign worker Indira Starr. Eli asked Kalinda Sharma to investigate and she found out that Indira Starr was lying about some parts, including story of facing Alicia. Mandy was persistent about publishing her article but Eli temporarily convinced her boss Richard not to print it, due to the lack of facts. The story however got leaked when political blog PoorAnarchy.com published it, and with media curious about the details of the affair, Mandy got reason to run her article.

Trying to get the story off the centre of attention, Eli talked to Mandy's competitor Peggy Byrne and convinced her to write an article about Mandy having an ulterior motive against Peter – he was the State's Attorney when Mandy's cousin was prosecuted for child molestation and sentenced to 12 years in prison. Although stretched, Eli's idea was to accuse Mandy of writing fabricated story about Peter's sex life as a payback for her cousin's conviction. With Peggy's article, Mandy was fired because her editor thought that she was pursuing her personal agenda.

Mandy made several more appearances later in the show, for example when she interviewed Diane Lockhart about Will's disbarment, and as Finn Polmar's interviewer after his announcement for State's Attorney's candidacy.
