Trivia[]
- The storyline of the episode where a TV episode depicting a fictionalized version of a real-life celebrity's scandal and the decision of the network not to air said episode is inspired by a real case with a Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. And the SVU episode, funny enough, featured Gary Cole, who plays Kurt in The Good Fight.
- This episode references popular broadcast TV franchise filmed in Chicago franchise. Gary Cole, who plays the husband of Diane, has a recurring role in one of them - Chicago Fire.
- Matthew Perry's character says to his wife, "Dee, what's happening?" which is a sly reference to the sitcom What's Happening which featured a smart alleck sister named Dee. But it's a double reference as on Friends Matthew Perry also made a joke about Dee and What's Happening.
- Kelli O'Hara is the guest appearance in this episode (until she would co-star with Christine Baranski in The Gilded Age).
Goofs, Bloopers & Continuity Errors[]
- When Diane coaches Kurt, he describes two microns as one fiftieth the width of a human hair. However, in the speech Kurt gives, he says, "Take a hair from your head. Now imagine that you can split that hair down the middle, not once, not twice, but fifty times. That is the equivalent of two microns." This is incorrect. If he had sliced the hair into fifty equal widths, each of those widths would be two microns. His description instead has the hair being halved fifty times, resulting in the two halves resulting from the final split being one divided by two to the fiftieth power the width of a human hair.
