Terence Ramsey was a young boy who had injured a fellow student who had injured yet another classmate more severely by throwing a book at both of them.
At the trial, presiding judge Henry Baxter refused to accept the plea bargain attorney Alicia Florrick had struck for Terence, and sent him to detention for nine months. Infuriated at this, Alicia conducted an investigation of the judge with the assistance of Cary Agos and Kalinda Sharma, in whose course she eventually discovered that he might be a racist.
